Money help: Can I connect my xbox 360 to my laptop and have internet for my xbox 360? - Help.com

Can I connect my xbox 360 to my laptop and have internet for my xbox 360?

My laptop is wirelessly connected to a router so I was wondering if I could connect my xbox 360 to my laptop via ethernet cable and use my laptop sort of like a internet bridge.

I want to do that because it is so find to hard a wireless adapter for it here as there is a major shortage of some sort and also its expensive so maybe this way I can save money?

So will this work?

Unfortunately i dont think so.
Here’s what i have if this helps.
I have a router that has 3 Ethernet cables, 1 to my DSL modem, 1 to my PC, and 1 to my 360.
If you just plugged an ethernet cable into a pc it’ll connect you to the pc and maybe media center if you have vista….
Here’s my question, is the Wifi you’re connected to from a router or what? If so just add an ethernet cable to the router to your Xbox.
No need for an adapter.
