My husband and I are facing bankruptcy (the whys are many and most are justifiable).
We’ve tried credit counseling, but after six months there was simply not enough money to pay the creditors and take care of our family of four boys. Now the phone is ringing all the time and the threatening letters are coming. We’re not deadbeats; we believe in paying our bills. We used to have a good credit record.
I am massively depressed, frequently crying my self to sleep (when I sleep), feeling like a huge failure. The worst part is not being able to tell the people closest to me because I’m so ashamed. It’s terribly lonely.
