Tried most countries in that area but not Holland. Will try that. Henchzel is my grandmother’s maiden name. She came from Breslau, Germany which became part of Poland. I find many name over the years have quite a variation in spelling. Being from Germany can you suggest any variations? My Grandfather’s sur name was Cobado and he was from Keil, Germany. To me, Cobado isn’t German but, according to family reports, he spoke “high” German and reportedly was in the German Military in the late 1800s before coming to the States. Any thoughts will be appreciated.

Well i was born close to Breslau Most of Germans were Protestant .But after the War
poles burned just about everything there was German and even the Protestant Churches Suffered .Polaks burned most Documents even though these Churches were standing there for the last 200 years.Polaks are 99% Catholics and the Germans who lived there were born there more then 5 Generations ago but that was War and it is History. To find out more see if you can Yellow Pages Henchzel or Hanchzel or Henchsel my Family Name starts with K and in German it is Q .since the Polish Alphabet has no Q my For Fathers changed it to K and it is still K today. suggest you start digging around Breslau…Your Grandather is from the North of germany Kiel close to were the V1 Rockets and V2 Rockets were lounched if he spoke good german i mean Educated German he would be easy to find .German or Prussian Millitary is another you can look at.. Let me know how you going…
