I need to rent an elephant for part of my hindu/christian wedding.

Any idea how to find a place that would allow me to do that?

Local zoo? I know you can rent horses at some stables, but I’ve never heard of renting elephants…

Well when you rent the elephant, ask them where you would be able to use the animal. They might have a rental place for you too.

Good luck!

go to a local zoo. Talk personally to the head zoo keeper.
Tell him of what you want the elephant for. Tell him how much you’re willing to pay.
Tell him that you would hire him to manage the elephant.
And he says no. beg.

I rode an elephant once, but the experience was unforgiving. If you ride the elephant on your wedding day, the bride will leave you for the elephant. I am speaking from personal experience. P.S. same rate as uhaul. Good luck and God bless.

Last summer I attended a wedding in Barrie where there was an elephant. Her name was Sheba and she was rented from the Bowmanville Zoo. I checked out their web site and they have a number of animals that can be hired for all types of events, such as weddings, commercials, TV, etc.

I understand from the groom’s father that if you are planning a wedding with an elephant be prepared to work closely with your local city and bylaw office to ensure that you, the city and the zoo are all on the same page per certificate of insurance, etc. So I guess it pays to do all that work EARLY in the process.

no, but perhaps you could call the Bowmanville Zoo as I am sure the “animals for rent” industry is fairly small and they might be able to recommend someone in your area.
