Price range? His interests? And congratulations on being happily married for 21 years!

Here’s a few ideas. I like books, films, cars and things to use in the outdoors. One thing that I can especially recommend is getting him one of those very powerful, but very compact flashlights that use Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs), perhaps with a combination incandescent bulb. It’s great to be able to pack a light that can get you out of some real jams, like having to change a tire at night or trying to find a contact lens on the carpet. Some are so powerful that they can temporarily blind an attacker. I recommend that you get one that takes ordinary batteries, as the special lithium batteries are hard to get.

You might also consider a set of DVDs that contain some of his favorite movies, e.g., Indiana Jones, Star Wars, etc.

I also appreciate books as gifts, whether they are finely bound leather volumes or paperbacks. You can find out who his favorite authors are, and look for their recent books. Or you could find a book at www.abebooks.com that’s been out of print. I like finding the old books that aren’t being published any more.

Hope this helps!
