can someone please help me with this math problem…

a + (a - 3) = (a + 2) - (a + 1)

2a = 4

a = 2

a + 1(a-3) = a + a - 3

1(a + 2) = a + 2
-(a + 1) = -a - 1

so… a + a - 3 = a + 2 -a - 1
