Sickest McCain ad EVER
On the eve of Obama’s acceptance speech, and the 45th anniversary of Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech
This ad is sick in so many ways.

obama for change! he did have a good speach it was so many people there it was one of the greatest moments ever
This ad, these congratulations, are totally insincere. He means the opposite of what he says.
Hell ya! **** mccain! obama ‘08!!!
What is wrong with that ad? McCain clearly congratulates his opponent. Why is that sick?
hahaha maybe you HAVENT heard about Mccains misconceptions to his own ex wife? Hes a lying bastard just like all politicians, HES REPUBLICAN TOO, thats twice as bad! I just think Obamas the lesser of two evils! AGAIN I SHOUT! OBAMA 08!
Fair enough; I live in the UK and don’t really follow the presidential election too closely.
yeah he was being sarcastic, but how would you feel running for something important and your only opponent is pretty equally matched? yeah you’d be a little sore about it… there’s nothing wrong with republicans, … OR democrats. It all comes down to what kind of person they are. I’m not going to declare who my choice is, but I will say this… it’s a fair game and each player is doing what they can to win.
and what’s in the past is in the past, we’re trying to make things better for our future, and obviously mccain has made his future MUCH better. If he can do that for himself, then imagine what he can do for us.
Here’s why I think this ad is so so sick:
McCain has a false smiile.
He’s not really congratulating Obama, he’s “pretending” to be a nice guy.
The ad was complete long before Obama’s speech was even begun, so it’s not a reaction to the speech, it’s a calculated move to do … something.
He alludes to the anniversary of MLK’s I Have a Dream speech, insinuating by his oily glittering “smile” that it was somehow cheating (or something!) for Obama to choose this day to give his speech. He pretends to praise Obama for choosing that date. “How perfect,” he says …
He’s gotta put his fake smile out there on the eve of Obama’s speech, trying to rain on his parade.
Nasty.
OH give me a break, now Florie you know I like you and your passion for politics matches my own, but I couldn’t disagree with you more about this ad. I was very impressed with this ad because he put aside politics long enough to acknowledge the historical accomplishment and give congradulations to Obama. It was very admirable and not something he had to do, he could have went on with the campaign business as usual.
And McCain really doesn’t have to pretend he’s a nice guy because his history shows he is a nice guy. Though Biden isn’t being very friendly to him they have been friends for years, do you think your VP nominee would be friends with someone that wasn’t a nice guy? He has friends on both sides of the isle and is highly respected by democrats and republicans alike.
Mark Warner wouldn’t even say anything bad about him in his speech and got moved to another time because of that, to me that says quite a lot about McCain that he wouldn’t bash him and frankly gained me a lot of respect for Mark Warner.

I don’t buy this for one minute.
Unfortunately America has lost touch with its bullshit detector & all common sense, so some people will think this ad was genuine. No way.
I hope you are wrong that America has lost touch with it’s bull detector and common sense, because I am counting on America to make an intelligent choice in this election, based on what is real and NOT what is phoney nonsense just based on political ambition. I hope that people will finally wake up and see the real Obama and not what they want to believe and make the intelligent choice.
John McCain 08
