Don’t Argue About Religion!

Why would a person degrade there being to a point of negativity?
Why would a person allow the ages of darkness to cloud there judgement?
Why would anybody allow themselves to be poisoned against the pursuit of perfection?

Perfection is found by the endless character of upright and honest people!
Truth and lies - Light and darkness = Who GOD is. - Who GOD isn’t.

Don’t be sucked into the argument of religion.
The Most High GOD is sovereign over all creation - Almighty the first - Almighty the last - The only GOD Almighty. When the time comes = Jesus will speak for himself. AMEN.

Only reason people keep argueing about religion is because people keep posting about it with “thier” opinion as a closed case.

Couldn’t agree more. I guess this is a type of argument that will never actually end..

Only reason people argue is because people like you think you *know* the truth. Keep it to yourself or among your fellow believers but don’t try to push it on others!

Religion is the bases of all evil. Zeus is the god of all gods. That one is going to be mine for the next hour. Hope this helps :-)

I agree with Lazy, but I like discussing it.
Because it is so important to so many people, directing their way of living.
Very often in surprising ways.
Unfortunately also often in dangerous, hostile and violent ways.

Religion and spirituality is a changing, growing, and dare I say, EVOLVING quality of humanity. To suggest that we stop arguing, pushing, learning, exploring the nature of ourselves and our world and reality, is the worst form of blind, uncompromising dogma.

“That’s just the way it is. Accept it and move along. Go on, nothing to see here, stop inquiring, ignore what the heathens are learning, you can’t be happy holding that particle accelerator.” I’m sorry, that just isn’t right. God gave us a brain for a reason.

I do agree that we should be nice to each other in the process though.

Please read my post carefully and understand - It’s not about pushing beliefs on anyone - No, It’s about finding the path to perfection.

Hence the saying: Perfection is found by the endless character of Upright and honest people.

Perfection is what you believe it to be.
Believe what you want. Worship a bee if you want.
The argument with religion (for me) is that those that are religious push it upon other people. Not all, but some.
That impedes upon my life choices by people who are trying to make choices for me based upon their own views of what is right and wrong.

Thanks for clarifying. I thought your post said stop debating about Religion because, “The Most High GOD is sovereign over all creation - Almighty the first - Almighty the last - The only GOD Almighty. When the time comes = Jesus will speak for himself. AMEN”.

My bad.

Very true. To be pushed about is very wrong, and no-one has the right to make you feel less.
My point was to move beyond negativity, to get past the dark clouds’ of judgement - To remove the poisons’.

Would you not agree that (from your perspective) if GOD really existed, He’d have the right to the last word?
For all those who cause trouble and hurt - For him to remove them? GOD’ form of removal is to make people new.

What was wrong with me saying “perfection is found by the endless character of upright and honest people”? I won’t talk of religion - No - But I will talk of furthering the Human race - From darkness and into light. The pursuit of clarity - The voyage beyond our universe (if such a capability exists’) - Life amongst the stars’. The topic of an endless character is: Endless. = AMEN.

Debating religion, fine by me, because I disagree that religion is the base of evil. It can be great actually because it can show things people have in common. A belief in something bigger, something that gives material to study and think about morals, ethics, spirituality.. belief = function = belief, for me the same way action = reaction = action.

Religions we’re born in my eyes to teach people to live together in harmony, to set up a base system of right and wrong, for people to become more compassionate.

If the christian/muslim/jewish God exists, he being almighty would be the only able to pass true judgement. But the elaborate tribal religions, the many different paths of hinduism, budhism, wicca and so many cultural belief systems - in the end when I think about religion I just get confused. I honestly wouldn’t know where to begin if I wanted to argue..

Religion and atheism have this in common:

They both create a black hole!

Hrm, Sigurr贸s… isn’t that the name of the sister of Sigur R贸s’ lead singer? If I am not wrong, it is an old Icelandic name with the meaning “Rose of Victory”.

In many ways, atheism equals a kind of religion. But I am often surprised by that almost everybody who believe in one God also almost automatically assume that he is totally almighty.
Instead, the assumption that things got out of also God’s control would explain his lack of visible interference into a lot of bad situations and disasters.

It seems stupid that an almighty God who doesn’t back off sacrifying his own son, would accept things as a fallen angel who tries to screw up his creation, without simply erasing a such angel.

In polyteistic religions, one God is usually more powerful than other Gods.
I don’t believe there is a Satan. But most people who believes that Satan exists beside God, still claims to be monoteistic,
Howcome? The existence of a Satan makes him yet another God, only with other characteristics. Consequently I define such people as polyteistic.

OK, I get your picture. I have no opinion about the poster’s hypocricy, but maybe I think that he should be a bit more humble. But if you accept some critics, I also find you not the least humble.

Your comment made me look into your posts, and I see you as a religious person.
Because you treat your atheism as a religion, and that you are sitting with the only TRUTH.
Simply because you don’t see God, and simply because you cannot see him or understand things, he doesn’t exist.
You also put the burden of proof on the believers.
Then how could you prove that there is NOT a God?
You are welcome to do it if you can (according to your profile, you are more clever than 97% of us other dumb fools)!

I have not seen a million dollars, but I am sure it exists (unfortunately in others’ hands than mine).
And that there is a certain power in a million, that’s for sure! Though not an intentional and intelligent power.
Am I supposed to say it does not exist, because I haven’t see it?

I don’t understand all aspects of Particle Physics (nobody does), but shall I say that it does not exist because I don’t understand it?

In one of your posts, a replier said something about that God did not exist, and you said:
“I am aware of it, but I am open to discuss…” and so on.
Hrm… a controversal and contradictional statement!
It is not the least humble, because it implies that you are the holder of the only TRUTH, and that is simply based upon the facts that you did not see, and that you do not understand things.
I think I am more humble. because as is the case with Particle Physics, I do not rule out things only because I do not understand them. Especially if I am not able to provide proofs against them!

One replier in your post said something clever when comparing the Nature to God, but he made one mistake in assuming that scientists are not religious.
As a matter of fact, there is not a single Nobel Prize winner in Physics, who did not become religious if he wasn’t religious already before! I do not say that they all became believers in the Bible, but they all came to the conclusion that this entire Universe cannot have happened by random, and that there must be an intention behind it. Those are not atheistic thoughts!

When it comes to intelligence, I am aware of that I still play the backyard hockey while those heavy Nobel Prize guys play the National Hockey League!
So if I was not a believer, the most intelligent approach I could have is to at least remain a bit humble about things I don’t understand!
