I am not an athiest yet I do not believe in organised religion, each person has their own relationship with god.

My relationship with god is personal matter between me and her, what I believe is not dependant on what was taught to me. I am not trying to impose my belief on the reader yet I feel strongly on this point, we are created of our beliefs.

In the morning of justice will rise anew the old gods of love and laughter,
Sometimes even in the same ray can many colours be seen for white is divine.

Sorry about that bit, sometimes I just break into a bit of prophesy.

Anyway back to beliefs, we need to believe in something to focus our minds on the realities beyond the ordinary. I believe in freedom. If I met a god on my travels I would name him sir and maybe even offer a nod of the head, yet I am a free man, I choose where I go and what I do. I offer eternal gratitude to whoever created me, just as I offer love, joy and laughter to all I meet.

thats how i feel. I don’t go to church, but i do believe in a higher power. I just don’t need someone telling me exactly how my relationship with that power should be by reading out of an old book some humans wrote 2000 years ago.

It does not do well when in finding faith we follow the paths of others. We should not be sheep unless we wish to be sheep. Religion should not be a question of what one can do to remain within the boundaries of a restful afterlife, but a study of how to improve that existence beyond this one. Ultimately, there is only one consciousness that we all belong to, and in that realization we all will find self, as well as rest.
