Problem with Google Results 4 http://Depression.ORG — why do they not appear at the website?

Depression.ORG seems to redirect to another site — but neither the other site (IFred.ORG) nor the site seen when visiting Depression.ORG seem to show the top results listed at Google. Here are the Google top results for Depression.ORG:

http://www.google.com/search?q=site%3...

Can anyone help to figure out what’s *wrong*?!?

Besides that — what do you think about the site?

I find the IFred site has a good list of “support groups” here:

http://www.ifred.org/help/support.html

(but that is *NOT* one of the “top 10″ Google results ;)

I don’t think support groups are neccessarily what people need-well maybe they are but finding them on the internet for the purposes of depession seem a little odd or not very useful. Its hard to go to a random group with something as sensitive as depression-then again maybe thats just the culture I live in, curving my views to be this way.

Personally, I don’t think I have actually researched depression for about 5years. I think most of the information online either tells you the wrong thing or doesn’t explain what you wanted to find out.

works for me. i search “depression.org” and got:

http://www.ifred.org/ (first answer)
http://www.depression.org.nz/ (second answer)

when i google “depression” i get:

http://www.depression.com/

which seems like a competant enough site for the issue.

“http://www.ifred.org/” is the 17th website shown if you search for “depression” on google.

all the information i see on the website itself seems reliable enough, the fault is only in one of the links, in the case of which they have the disclaimer.

the disclaimer says: we look after our website and have no control over the rest of the internet. from this point on, you must use your own common sense.

yeah. i think for the most part search engines like those are for gracing a subject only for the first time. once you gather enough [correct] information to make a focused and intelligent internet search, then you can look to other resources for your research.
