hi guys…

.suddenly in my system taskbar and desktop icons are missing…
it is appearing for a while when start my computer and it is disappearing after some
5 to 10 seconds….i checked my system for virus and spyware……none infection found…can anyone one give me a solution for this…how can i get back my taskbar and desktop icons…plz i vl be thankfull for u forever

Try a system restore that should work by restoring the desktop settings. Hope this helps :-)

sounds like you gotta virus that is killing your explorer.exe program in system task and thats whats killing you desktop icons and task bar look for problems related where explorer.exe program is quitting on you buddy!

if you can still CTRL+ALT+DEL thats opens task menu look in the operations tab for the explorer program there should be two i think if not you know your problem!

Unused icons do disappear from tskbar its normal do a right click anywhere on taskbar choose properties and tick the radio button that says hide inactive icons ? you will get all you icons back

The desktop icons can be retrieved by right clicking anywhere on desltop and choosing properties > select desktop > customize desktop and tick the ones you want back. If more are missing check when you right clink under arange icons there is option to see desktop icons or not

I’m having the same problem, but when i go to the task menu and type in explorer.exe it restores itself, and all is well….until i restart the computer and it does it again. Anyway to keep it permannent?

very simple . click on desktop> arrang icons by> show desktop. click and it will shows you result. .
