Love help: Ever feel like maybe the phrase, “there’s someone out there for you” is a big giant lie? - Help.com

Ever feel like maybe the phrase, “there’s someone out there for you” is a big giant lie?

I’m so lonely my heart hurts, my skin is screaming to be touched, and I wonder, why? Why am I always the best friend, the ride home at 2 a.m., the one you call when you want a favor or advice… but the last one ever considered for a relationship? At 34 years old, is it possible that some people are just meant to be alone? When you’re at the point that teenage melodramas make you cry because you’ll never feel that kind of passion, is that a hint to just suck it up and continue your life as the sidekick?
