This is a thoughtful post for a thoughtful friend.

I don’t know if many of you know but her abusive and violent ex husband has custody of her kids and she doesn’t have any visiting rights at the moment. Its that time of year again, where all the other mums get to buy their kids school uniforms and lunch boxes and its also starting to lead up to Christmas. And Shie can’t do all this. Its getting her down and instead of asking for help she is avoiding contact with as many people as she can.
Shie misses her kids all year round but I’m sure you can appreciate some times are harder than others.
So please, say a kind word here and/or leave a nice message for her in her shout box? ( http://help.com/user/116705-shie/shou... ) She deserves some love and best wishes from us, afterall she has been doing the same for us for over a year.

She posted that she is taking some time off from help.com. She didnt tell the real problem. But she is in a serious problem. I hope eveything gets fine in her life. Why she doesnt ask for help? Why she always act like this?

She has told me in an email. I wont disclose all the details but I have summarised it above.

Letting her know she has the love and support of her friends here may cheer her up. Even if she smiles for ONE SECOND then I will be happy. We don’t need to leave her to it, we need to help her out so that we can bring her out of this depressive period.
It does make sense, it means I couldn’t think of a good reason not to give someone a good message, that’s what it meant, the just did part means I just did it.
I will keep you in my prayers. Yes it’s hard for her to see her children, it is also harder for the children missing her. There are ways that she can see her children. She may have to go back to court to have the judge redo the custody thing if she can prove that she can provide for her children. The father feels that he is only doing what is right, and also being selfish, to get back at her, but it’s not right that the children should suffer because of lack of ignorance. He really need to grow up.

She has been to court aprox 10 times already. The judge is the same one every time and seems to be a bit of an a*s!
She basically ran away with her kids because she was scared of the violance (4hours away) and the guy chased her down and called the police and basically said she kidnapped them. Even though the kids admitted they were scared and were just staying with their mom who they feel safe with.
She also has enough money and a stable home environment for her kids, she’s just struggling in the battle to get them home.
Shie, you are the best especially at making fun posts, for this I thank you, and this site will be lot worse without you, we will all miss you in some way or another, so I hope you get better asap!
shie the last thing you need right now is to be on your own you need people who love you,who understands what your going through dont you think its better if you came back to us so we can help you in some way.
wouldnt you give the same advice if that person was in the same situation.

Shie - you’re a good person who clearly doesn’t deserve everything that has happened to you - hope you stay strong and things turn out better for you in the future!
And here’s just some stupid funny crap to see if I can make her laugh. Shie is the funniest person in the world, or at least she knows how to pass on the funny, and a lot of time just that one laugh she posts can make my day.

We have talked about this very thing. Im so sorry, I know how badly this hurts you and your frustration. Keep in mind, it wont be long, one is almost 18 and can do what she wants. Think of the happy visits soon. Time waits for no one and there is not a thing he can do when the children are of age and can see their mom when they want. I cant wait to see those posts! Shie, I am so sorry to hear what you are going through! Been there and still fighting. Don’t give up fighting! I don’t know where you are from but in my area I have brought this (using children, courts, children’s agencies etc to further abuse) to the attention of anyone who will listen and have started an awareness campaign. If you ever need a friend, gimme a shout. I know the hell you are going through.

there is nothing more i could ask for in a friend.
Shie, your kids are learning some things in school, but they are learning some huge lessons from you about dedication, commitment and perserverance. They know you wait for them, you are there for them, and you’ve never stopped fighting for them. There are a lot of kids out there who have a mom in the same house that don’t have what you give your children. Your strength and humour maintains many, both on this site and at home. Chin up, your efforts are appreciated.

and you are right.. its the way of getting back at me… but you have no idea… i have been to court over and over and over again for the past 4 years… the reason i lost my kids… because i took them and ran for safety… but with the other having family members who are in rank with the judge… i get absolutely no where… my last resort.. wait till they are 17… (they are now, 12, 14 and 16).. and i have already missed the past 4 years of their lives…

she will be 17 in october.. and yes… i have talked to cps where i live now.. and at that age… it is legal for her to have a life with out her father butting in… so yes.. there will be sooooo many posts and pictures of her and i… and you are right.. i can not wait till then… thanks hun for the inspiration of the thought…

that is exactly what i say… not only does domestic violence need to stop.. but the abuse from courts and cps also has to be stopped.. no woman in their right mind wants to be abused.. and here in ny, they told me that i allowed my beatings..

Hey Tam. With any luck, your children will turn out like me, forgo an actual career, and simply stay in school for the rest of forever. Then you’ll have the chance to buy them all the books and supplies they want and the state will have nothing to say about it.
lol… hopefully they will.. my son randy wants to be a cop, my daughter stephanie wants to be a counselor, and keisha wants to be a vet… so lets hope they keep their dreams alive..
