Single mom of a mentally challenged 15 yr old boy, 14 yr old daughter and a two yr old baby.

In Connecticut, cannot find a rent, living in a motel for this week only and after that I just do not know what to do. Can anyone have a suggestion or can help me so I do not lose my children. I do work , but only part time do to having to take care of my children. Help. everything is sooo expensive. I just found out I have a heart problem also. Inoperable and I do not know where to go from this point on. We will be out into the streets at the end of this week. Sheri

Go to the local social service and see what they can help with. You can also get day care assistance from them. You need to be working full time to make it in life not only for yourself but your children. Hope this helps :-)

I’m not really sure how to help with this situation, butI can tell you this much:

Not all foster home programs are good, but not all of them are bad. If the government took your kids, they could end up in a horrible situation, or in an excellent one. It’s a gamble. I know you want to keep them, and I wish there was something I could do to help you with this, I really do, but all in all you should consider what the best solution will be. Is government care better for your children than living on the streets? You should make sure that they know you love them, but more than that you need to exercise that love. What is the best for them?

You can do this.
