life help: My daughter is 18 and is unable to manage herself at all. - Help.com

My daughter is 18 and is unable to manage herself at all.

She recently came to live with me after spending many years with her dad. He is an absolute slob and she always said it was easier living with him as I was too strict. She is constantly late, wears unironed and stained clothes, always loses things and runs out of money. She admits that she can’t plan a journey and frequently phones me at 3am for a lift. She is untidy and unhelpful around the house and I keep finding dirty cups growing mold in her bedroom. Is there some kind of life coach available to her so she can get her act together. I don’t want any more arguements!

You may also want to look for a counselor/psychologist for her– it sounds like she could be suffering from depression or low self-esteem as well.
