There is no such thing as “too emotional” in my opinion. Perhaps emotions can be expressed in more healthier ways than others, but I don’t think that would be the root of the issues you’re having (unless you’re constantly angry and throwing things at him or something). But, like the above posters, without any more detail it’s hard to say what the issue could be.
