I am praying for help, I lost my 21 year old son Joey 4 years ago.

It hit me the hardest last Christmas. I had a knee replacement in October, 2007. With the pain of recovering, and missing my 21 year old son, I got so depressed I let all my bills go. Now I am on medication to help my depression. But I am about ready to lose my house (5 payments behind), taxes on my house, my car is about ready to be repossessed. Please, please pray for me. I don’t want to lose everything. It’s like the domino affect, when you are behind on EVERYTHING…you can not catch up. You can read about my son at this site: joseph-starnes.memory-of.com/ Thank you!

Contact all of your creditors. Perhaps you can include a letter from your doctor, explaining the situation. Tell them that you were suffering from depression and that you need them to work with you to establish a payment plan. As an emergency measure–and you may already be there–you may need to declare bankruptcy. Today bankruptcy doesn’t carry the stigma it used to. The stigma really belongs to greedy creditors who charge over 20 percent for credit cards. Please consult a bankruptcy attorney. He/she may also be able to point out alternatives, such as a commercial credit counselor. The latter can have signficant pitfalls, however, so be careful!

So sorry to hear about your sorrow! I am attending college for social work degree. I believe you can call a 211 national number for minor help in your area. like with food clothes, even helping you to find mental depressive help and financial help as well. I know you still hurt and will always feel the void of him in your life. For your sanity please seek professional help and self help groups to help you get past this hump in life. everybody looses someone so your not alone. My best friend died ( no causes to her death) in my lap this summer and it crushed my soul. I can live through her to help you and many more.
