Contact your state’s attorney general and Better Business Bureau. But if you want your money back, you’re going to have to get a police report filed and you may have to get a lawyer to sue this outfit. Close your bank account to stop the check bouncing and open another account.

You might get your money back but it will take time to do it. I suggest that you get another job to help pay for the money that you lost. Next time if it sounds to good to be true then dont trust it. Every one has to work and there is no easy way around it. Hope this helps :-)

Hiring a lawyer for legal problems can be expensive, but there are websites like LawGuru, FindLaw and other places where you can get free legal advice. I found this website useful - http://www.uelp.org/freelegal.html

You can also try your luck at online charities like Modest Needs, people may send donations, if your requirement is genuine. From http://www.laodn.org/
