Thought help: Discipline - Help.com

Discipline

As a follow up to my previous post, I need tips on how to force myself to STUDY. I very weak at math and sciences but they happen to compose the 3/4 subjects that I take now. To do well I have to practice LOTS but I keep getting demoralized and distracted. Can someone offer some thoughts I’m totally lost here. (Exams are in two months time!)

make timetables and schedule yourself… make some duration of time daily or weekly, when you would focus yourself for all study purposes no matter what… like go to the library and turn off your mobile if you need to… or prepare some excessive time for this purpose, like 4 hours straight or something…

Make yourself WANT to study. I’ve always been obsessed with all types of music, and certain bands and songs gave me a real ‘office’ feel, so it was easy to get down and enjoy doing some studying. Things are much more likely to stick in your head that way too.

Try starting first thing in the morning, that way you don’t get involved with something else and fool yourself into thinking you’ll get down to some work later cause it’s so easy to justify not studying when you’re caught up in something else.
