friends help: Sigh. - Help.com

Sigh.

Is it true that when studying for exams, alot of what used to be important becomes…less important? I was troubled with reconciling with one of my best friends(we fell out) prior to this but now I don’t feel much for the issue any more. Its due to the exams, right? I’m hoping after all this everything will be okay.

sometimes when you’re really stressed out and your brain is over-loaded, you just flat out don’t have the energy to worry about everything…

once exams are over, re-evaluate the situation and see where you stand… is it a relationship that you want to mend? or let go of?

give your brain a break :)

A quick break from the things that stress you will do good. Like the above person just said, your brain dies out of activeness when you’re getting more and more stressed about more and more issues.
Once you’ve got the worry of your exams passed, your mind will be more ready to worry about the other things, but it won’t feel like worry or anything.

Your priorities change when things like exams come up. The things that were most important to you kind of take the back burner while you study. It’s important that you do your best in school (not trying to sound like a mom) and sometimes that involves making school your top priority while exams are in session.

Let your friend know they are still very important to you but at the moment you need to concentrate on school.

Also, as time goes on, the things that used to be important to us may not be such a big deal anymore. Part of that is we are growing up and maturing. We learn to pick our battles and discover what we need and don’t need in life
