iTunes Help

Okay, I have a folder on my computer that is basically full of songs that I downloaded from iTunes. Well, I dubbed it a Random album just so that they would all be in the same area without me having to search for the one album that has one song so I can listen to it. Well, basically, I want iTunes to arrange it in order so that the song title is the sorting factor and I can’t seem to get it. Anyone have any suggestions on how to do this?

I’ve tried going into the sort feature and just leaving the song titles up there but that doesn’t seem to do the trick and I’ve deleted any references they had to what position in the album they came from (like they were song 4 of 10) and even that doesn’t work. Right now, all I can get it to do is arrange by Artist. Any help???

while looking at the “music”, you click on the heading that says “name”. click on it once, it arranges from a to z. click on it again and it will arrange z to a. click it again and it will go back to a to z.

That’s still not what I’m looking for. I basically want just one album to be arranged by the song names, not my entire library

There is a way to open a “Browse” view. This gives you three boxes at the top of your screen which help you to narrow down what shows in the main box (where you see the songs) You get “genre”, “Artist”, and “Album”. If you look at the bottom of the old iTunes, or at the top of the new iTunes window, there is a browse button. It used to look like an eye, but now it is just a couple of lines. You can choose the artist you are looking for and then the album. You can then arrange the songs by any of the headings. If you really want to have a set list of songs that you won’t change every time you are looking through a new artist, then make playlists. Rearranging the library doesn’t do anything to the music, just what you see in the main window. This is all I can think of. Have you seen it a certain way before and just don’t remember how you (or a friend) got there? if not, then I would say iTunes simply can’t do what you are asking. You should try Winamp.
