I know some airlines will deeply discount their fares in a family crisis; I am not sure whether they only do this to get you to your dying loved one’s bedside, or whether they would consider getting to a funeral to constitute an emergency. It can’t hurt for you to ask, though.

Short of that, can either of you get any help from your churches or extended families? How about all the people who call and say, “Is there anything I can do?”

I am very sorry to read that you lost your child. I cannot imagine anything more painful.

A church may be able/willing to help — I’ve seen similar things occur. As for an organization — I can’t think of anything. I know the Red Cross helps out with military folks in this kind of situation - but I don’t know if they help civilians, and I don’t know of any other organization who does.

I googled ” charity help funeral ” and found this organization, but I didn’t fully investigate to see what/if they provide…

Good luck, and I’m sorry for your loss :(
