Year help: What do our dreams mean? - Help.com

What do our dreams mean?

Over the years, have had dreams that after you are awaken, they are an embarrassment! loll.. We have all been there before.

Does this mean anything? Read some on the subject, and some so-called experts on the subject, say no…they have no meaning.

What do you think?

Hmm…I dunno. But it’s sure interesting though. Where do our dreams come from?!!? And whyyyy? I mean, why would I dream some creepy, slimy, 3 foot monster with a huge gob is coming to eat us all?! Why, God, why?! It’s weird.

So, the monster ate my pregnant (at the time in real life, but also in my dream) sister. What could that mean?

Do you know what De fragmenting a hard-drive is?

if so, our brain basically does the same thing as we sleep, goes through and sorts out information. During REM sleep is when we have the most dreams, and everyone dreams every night, but you dont know it unless you remember it.

how do you remember a dream? if you are woke during REM sleep (during the dream) you are more likely to remember it, hence your always in the middle of a dream and wake up.

I saw a product on tv, it was some goggles that detected when you enter REM sleep (rapid eye movement) and it flashes a red light in your eyes that is not bright enough to wake you up, but bright enough for your brain to notice, and supposedly after using it for a while you can start to realise your in dreams and then interact.

Sometimes, in my dreams, I realise I’m dreaming, it’s usually when I’m not too fond of the dream I’m having, so I somehow manage to wake myself up by telling myself in my dream that I’m dreaming and the only way to stop the huge scary (other) monster from crushing my house and killing my family is to wake myself up, which is what I do and it works! And sometimes, I’m sure I dream a dream that I’ve already dreamt before so in that dream I know what’s going to happen next yet i’m still scared and anxious…

yea, dreams usually mean alot of things, most of the meaning is to do with stuff that is happening in your life at the time of the dream. but sometimes they have deeper meaning and show things that are going to happan in the future…

It is probably just showing you that you are thinking of your sister, that maybe you are concerned about her which i guess is perfectly exceptable considering she is pregnant. It could though mean that there is somthing wrong but i doubt it cus the dream would have some more sinister quality’s. What else was there in the dream? and objects or colours that cought your eye???

Not sure… should I describe the monster?

It was short…with one giant foot, same size as it’s body. It had a huge mouth. Tine eyes. Managed to eat my sister. =S
It was like…ugly coloured…like a greeny grey…more grey.
For some reason, I was in a hospital room in some parts of the dreams and others I was just in a room full of … what seemed like spiritual, and God believing people. Is it necessary to mention I don’t actually believe in God even though I;ve been brought up to believe in God, and no one knows I don’t believe in God, apart from a few Help.com users, but my friends and family don’t know…

interesting, i too was brought up to belive in god but i live in the UK where only old people get annoyed at you for not beliving…

as for the dream, what youve described seems to point towards the idea that your sister is going to be overwhelemed (ok, a bit powerful) by somthing, presumably the child. Again this is understandable, i mean she’s bringing a life into the world. I’m not exactly a top expert but there could be the chance there is somthing wrong with the child, like a disability, blindness for example, i wouldnt worry though as i’m 90% sure this dream is reflecting your concern over your sister at this time in her life…

I believe that dreams do mean something. Sometime we know what it is and sometimes we do not. I use www.dreammoods.com to sometime help me understand what mine mean. This site is pretty accurate.
