writing help: i have to write a short story and one character has to die not killed tho but i dont have any ideas on how they should… - Help.com

Excuse my paranoia, but u know the nature of this site..

heart attack, car crash, old age idk i’m out i’m to happy of a person to think about death right now

drowning, fire, car accident, sickness, drugs, natural disaster

Falls of a 100 ft cliff!

How about a disease, but they keep it hidden from all their loved ones, until they are on their deathbed… then it could be a heartwrenching part when they die.

Or you could write that the building collapses on top of them… from having to save a little girl! His/her daughter! That he didn’t know was his until the last second… =O

-Short circuiting could cause a fire while the guy was sleeping, died of suffocation
-boat situation, drowned
-drugs yes, very dramatic and real
-annorexia.. lol..

ha no its not me =D thing is it has to be quick to describe if you get what i mean thankks i might do the building thing but i cant just be the roof suddenly gave way…

my what dark minds we have here

or the fire would be good aswell how could the fire start if the person did something that caused it, if that makes sense…

Well he could have spilled a bottle of alcohol then lit a smoke and droped the match on the alcohol. ^^

or escalator malfunction, and a terrible fall

an elevator malfunction, and it stops, and the guys is claustrophobic, and dies of suffocation

Can the character kill himself?

well the story so far is a guy see to what he thinks to be that past and someone dying in it and trys to prevent it save em etc but obv nobody beleives him and sees what he does so it turns out that in trying to tell his partner she dies(of the accident e.g building or fire) and the person he saw dying b4 was actually her it was the future not past if u get that lol

car accidents are always believable. or, bus accidents. Uhm…a bank robbery gone wrong? the character is buried under a mountain of canned goods at the grocery store?

How about putting an absurd-ironic-even-whimsical element into it? Have an asteroid hit the character after he/she wins the lottery.
