my dad just got back from a trip to rome, and he brought me some really really cool shirts. the only problem is that they are all one or two sizes too big for me to wear. they are all cotten as far as i know. is there a way to make then shrink some so i can wear them without looking ridiculous? just curious.

Some cotton shrinks — it depends on the qualtiy and treatment. The best way to shrink cotton fabric is to wash it in warm or hot water an dry it on the hottest heat.

However, shrinking in this way only reduces a few inches or less usually– not 2 sizes.

You might want to ask a local dry cleaner if they can recommend a tailor to take them in for you.
