I hate my life…

it sucks…. I’m 26, have no job, no qualifications and everything I do to try and get out of it seems to end in disaster… I don’t want to be a millionaire, I just want to earn enough money to be able to support myself in a reasonable standard of living, and not be dependant on commission cheques, which I have been previously…any suggestions?

Find a way to go back to school, find a church community and know and believe with all your soul that God has a purpose for your life. We can not see around the corners that he can, we have no way of knowing what his purpose is, but if we believe and have complete faith in him, he will protect us. When you least expect it a small miracle will come your way. Life is short on this earth, go back to school. I work very hard and make little money. Engineers make very good money. Believe me you do not want to wake up 10 or 15 yrs from now and be in the same boat you are in currently. Go back to school. Guard and keep your faith.

Better yet, just discover what you love doing and make your greatest efforts to do it. Don’t worry about money and security and all that jazz. You could work in an office to pay the bills but you’ll end up miserable and still feeling low (unless you like working in an office, in which case more power to you.)

Religion isn’t the answer to everything ;) In situations like this, its better to take control of your own life.

Lets say hypothetically you liked to write. Take up writing courses, do some writing and brainstorming, go to book fairs, read up online on how to become an author and pursue it. So what if you don’t earn the big bucks right away? You’re doing what you love and this would give you a much greater satisfaction than working because you had to. Find out what you love or have a passion for and do it. That’s my advice, take it or leave it :)

If you had your education you would be able to make better choices for yourself and afford to do the things you dream about and afford to pay the expense of all of your passions, and not stuck in a dead end job. When we take control ourselves we usually end up having to learn lessons the hard way, and live lives of struggle and hardship,, better to lean on God. He knows you are human and all sin.
