Do you ever feel like people observe you?

It might be anxiety. Yes, I’ll admit, I have a ton of it…but we all do. It’s not to the point it bothers me to extremes, but I have noticed it, that some people seem to observe you. Do you ever feel like some people do this? Does it make you paranoid? It does me.

Do you mean observe like people-watching or like the governments spying on you? Because I definitely sit sometimes and just watch the things that people do.

JAG, I definitely know how you feel. Maybe it’s because we’re so use to a vanilla, black and white version of life…and we’re so paranoid that others will judge us, even alone.

it depends on the look, if they try to be intimidating I remember everyone has a weakness and they are trying to hide it.

Yes, and I also “observe me.” :)

I don’t feel like people observe me. Quite the opposite. I feel like people ignore me, unless they want something from me.

I don’t feel like that often, but it seems to happen more so now that I’m at college. I see most of the same people every day, they may not be in my class but I see them on my way to classes. They’re always the people sitting on benches or chillin by the bike racks, and they just stare at me. It’s a bit unnerving, but perhaps I’ll take the edge off and go talk to one of them tomorrow.

Its hard to compare with you guys, i live in london, so you never get observed at all. Most people in the city are afraid to look at strangers and no one speaks to strangers in public. I lived in Australia, Perth for 5 years, it as different there. People seemed a little more inquisative although not in an over whelming way, they didnt steal your space. The West Australians are also more open and , say if you were in a bar you would always have someone to speak to.
Also in the UK you would generally be judged for what you have or what you are wearing, if im at a party i can tell someone that im a multi millionaire and speak about fast cars and designer clothes, i find i then have made a possible friend for life, i forget them pretty quick….on the other hand tell them you are un employed but do charity work and help old ladys cross the road !!! dear o dear no friends then… So who wants to be noticed for what they have or what they look like….most have heard that you should never judge a book by its cover…..most do… Sorry just went off on one….in a mood today !!

From a self-concious angle I often feel like I’m being watched, those silent judging eyes..
But then I think of the times I observe people, usually while waiting for a bus with a few minutes to kill. I’m not judging people, most the time I’m not even looking at them atall, simply scanning the area as a whole, the people just happen to be in the way.

Thinking of it that way, being observed spawns far less paranoia. Or you can pretend to be a Spy and take evasive action =)

Pae I’m here because you invited me:)

Of course people observe you. Some people spy on you. Some people gossip about what they see you do or not do. Our own government observes (spies, listens…). Maybe you “feel” people are observing you because they are:).

Once in a while I get that feeling that I’m being watched. That’s usually when I look up or turn my head and catch someone watching me. But aren’t we all so curious of each other. Haven’t you ever watched someone because you found them interesting? We all do it from time to time. Maybe it’s just part of our nature. Being observed usually dose not bother me. Maybe people find you very interesting, and if that’s the case, you
should take it as a compliment.

all the time! but i think that might be a fault on my part. i didn’t think it was possible to recognize that you’re crazy and still be crazy, but i’ve started getting weird hallucinations and as far as i know there’s nothing odd with me. except for the hallucination part, that is. that’s kinda weird.

i’m convinced there’s an invisible third party living in my family’s house. it doesn’t do much, but it does always make me feel observed…
