One of my friend’s is trying to transfer money from South Korea to the United States to pay for his college tuition.

He’s had the wire out for a while now and doesn’t know what to do. He checked with the bank in the United States and everything is set up correctly and he e-mailed his parents to make sure everything was set up correctly in Korea. What could possibly be holding up the process for his wire? He needs to pay it by next week and it’s important that it gets here. fyi, the amount is definately over $10,000.

As you know any amount over ten thousand is tracked by the Treasurer dept of the US and the peoples background are checked that are sending it. Hopefully they have no terrioist ties other wise the money will be taken and the people arrested. Hope this helps :-)

lol. uhm. thanks. I don’t think there’s any terrorist ties. His parents are doctors. haha. but yeah. I figured something got tied up in the US government. I think they might be suspicious b/c he has a large amount tranferred almost every year for schooling. it’s his first year for college but he went to a boarding school before that.

That’s what I don’t get. It’s like something’s wrong with his parent’s account… which there shouldn’t be. should he try to contact the bank in Korea?

Have him contact his bank later today and see what is happening, it probably takes a while to get done.
