well what is going to be the focus,… is it just a research and tell kind of project.. or present an issue or idea and trying to prove something through research?

The Fear one may be interesting.

I suggest you scrap fairies, vampires and ghosts. They are notoriously difficult to observe and interview.

Hmm, considering you have to have a survey and an interview, I’d lean toward homeschooling, music, or ballet. These might be easier to handle in context of the assignment. Unless, of course, you personally know a vampire or ghost!! Good luck!

hmm informative… well which one do you think you would have the most fun doing… I find the more “passionate” or into a topic you are in the better the result.

I’d say fear or music, because these are things that everyone experiences. Fear is my choice, because it’s darker.

20 pgs for homeschooling would be stretching it, but could be done… fear and music is more vague and you can basically take either one of those in any direction you want

or you can combine them… fear and music.. combine those with the world of films and you have a narrowed down, yet still broad topic- like how music is used in films to give off a sense of fear or tension in a audience during the film…lol i don’t know just throwing ideas out.

That way your interview could be based on several levels… your survey could be more creative and your observation… simply watch horror films with friends. lol

What interests you the most? Which subject do you think will help you grow and which assignment seems most practical to you and is easiest for you to carry out effectively? If you already have an interest in a topic it makes it so much easier and enjoyable to carry out.

Fear, Music, and Film…. watch several fear or mystery films with friends and then interview them after… make the films a variety using different types of horror films.. from psychological to the typical slashers.. and compare.. what was different… how people reacted different.. what part the music played to create that atmosphere.. did it have an affect on the audience…etc etc.. then close it all together with a nice conclusion.

I would try to have fun with… a 20 page paper is not much fun until you make it so…..if you do it on something you enjoy before you know it .. you will be done.

the hard part with this paper will be the interview and the observation…. to observe fear… can be tricky, but then what do you say about it after you witness it. Just go with your gut and remember what the paper requires.
