life help: My boyfriend and I just moved out for the first time but ever since we started living together he’s changed into a completely different person. - Help.com

My boyfriend and I just moved out for the first time but ever since we started living together he’s changed into a completely different person.

I quit my job to move with him even though I loved it and I haven’t been able to find another one. I could have found one for part time but my boyfriend wants me to do full. Now he’s blaming me for not having a job for two months and threatening to kick me out if I don’t get one. I look on craigslist for jobs every day and I’ve been to a ton of interviews but he still acts like I’m not even trying. He says he’s been supporting me but I’ve been doing all the cooking and cleaning (and I mean every **** bit of it) without pay or appreciation. He’s also been telling me I need to lose weight because I gained ten pounds. I started going to the gym and I’ve been trying to lose the weight (not just for him) but he still criticizes me all the time. Every time we go out in public he looks at girls and say’s **** that girls hot right in front of me, he’s completely blunt and open and he doesn’t care if it offends me at all. My sweet, caring, and sensitive boyfriend isn’t sweet to me anymore, doesn’t care about me, and is completely insensitive to my feelings. I need to hear something other than break up with him because I’ve invested a lot into this relationship.

I know you don’t want to hear that you need to break up with him, but that’s precisely what you need to do.

Why do you like this guy?! He doesn’t appreciate you, critisizes you, makes you feel like crap, and sounds pretty sexist to me as far as cooking and cleaning goes.

Why do you like this man??
