If we, the human species, can’t find happiness while

consuming 90% of the earth’s resources, what makes some people think we can find happiness by consuming 100% of the earth’s resources?

Not everyone needs to buy stuff to make them feel happy. My happiness is found in my friends ;P

I dun get the question.

As has been said, I actually don’t know many people at all that would find happiness from abusing earth’s resources.

The first three responses seem to be from people who live in very small universes.
Try thinking “we” rather than just “me”.

We already have everything we need for happiness already with us. We buy things to convince ourselves that we need them but we don’t. The truth of the matter is the things that truly gives us happiness are free.

You can buy all the things in the world but you can not make someone love you. If you have love in your heart, everything will not matter.

Baloney; the world would be boring if not for material things. Even as simple as a walking stick to view the world on treks is still a material thing.

the government is to blame for all of Americas downfalls they are suppose to be keeping the nation together not tearing it apart but No they make more money by scaring the living **** out of people..therefore the people think that their lives could end sooner than expected therefore they buy these things

I did not say that material things do not help, because they do but, we need to be responsibility for all the waste that we cause. Is it necessary to upgrade our phones, computers, TV, cars every year?

The truth of the matter isn’t in the hands of a single person. If companies reduced the amount of packaging they waste on products, that would make a difference, without anyone having to change their life styles that much.

The world is as boring or as interesting as we chose to imagine it.

In the past, people didn’t have computers, games consoles, TVs and they were happy in their own way. These things that we all buy do entertain but aren’t necessary to enjoy life.

What? The government is suppose to be keeping the nation together? Its this attitude expressed here that make it possible for the people in Washington to make more money by scaring the living **** out of people.

The government is not suppose to keep the nation together, the citizens , you, are suppose to keep the country together. The government should be nothing more then the collective will of the citizens, you.

That’s only because people like jezzi_a allow it to be that way, by believing the government is something other then the people of the country. Seeing the government as something external to blame for not helping us, when its us we need to blame for not making our government help us.
