question help: What helps you? - Help.com

What helps you?

I’m taking the SATs for the third time soon. My only problem is the Critical reading. I can’t score higher than a 530. My question to you all is what helps you most when reading passages? Read questions first? go straight to the questions without reading? notes on the margins?

Take your time, if you rush, you will miss something and will have to re-read it anyway. Always try and keep carm.

You are usually scored on accuracy, rather than the amount of work you do.

reading the questions first and then answering them as you find the answers always works for me but like dave said, just take your time and try to relax and not get stressed. getting a good nights sleep, eating something healthy, and making sure you wear clothes that don’t bug you will help you concentrate too.

I always read the questions first in tests, so I know what to look for. You should try to not stress out though.
