Help with Windows Registry Editor, need to remove a game that will not uninstall…
Ok, so I’ve had the creature creator from the SPORE game, and some mishaps with it and went to uninstall it and had some more problems. I got impaitent and started deleting folders in the hopes of just reinstalling the whole thing. That to some extent worked, I managed to get the Creature Creator back on the PC and it worked fine, but then the game arrived…
It went to uninstall the CC as it installed itself, and got as far as install shield before prompting me to remove it and all of it’s features, I hit yes, and it just stops, no more install shield or anything.
I went to Add Remove programs and theres the CC, I go to uninstall, exactly the same thing happens.
Soooo I got a bit ticked that without the original files I started deleting back up in paragraph 1, I can’t uninstall it, or reinstall it either. I deleted everything I could find on the PC through search with the name Spore or Creature Creator, then when it was still in Add Remove programs, I went into Windows RegEdit and started doing the same thing.
Now nothing remains on the PC with the name Spore or CC, but still, when I load up the game, it says it has to uninstall the CC, even though it’s no longer in Add/Remove programs.
Can someone please give me some sort of hint as to what it is still recognising as Spore Creature Creator on my PC?
