Hi, could you explain this song to me?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovH46-...

I get the fact that it is rhythmic and popsongy, but I’m having a little trouble putting together the full meaning.

Try this link - I’ve used this website before and even though anyone can post to it, sometimes people post useful responses.

I guess? It suddenly seemed important to ask about.

Was it what you expected? I know I’m often surprised when I see what people have said a song mean. . .I look up songs frequently out of curiousity, but also my daughter’s a dancer so we look up song meanings to help her with her dance and choreography . . .

The comments about it being a “dance song” cast some light on it, and why I might not recognize its meaningfulness, and why some violently hard-to-understand music was suddenly a mystery that seemed needing to be solved. Beyond that they didn’t say much, but the idea that “the meaning is out there” seems a fruitful one. I’ll look other places if I still think I need to know something about it. Thanks again.

I think it means they are gay ghouls to get attention, even if the attention is “negative.” I think it means they are trying to be creepy because they’ve exhausted all other possibilities in their search for the ultimate fetish to finally “turn them on.” Basically I think it means absolutely NOTHING.

Michael, do you really think it’s a “dance song?”

Maybe what they meant was that it was played in dance clubs when it came out. Mid-eighties or late 80s.

The other thing I noticed about the video was the guy looks like the bad guy in the movie “Austin Powers”.

It means whatever you want it to mean. Music is like poetry, the author was intending one emotion, where as the reader can interpret several others, as well as the actual story itself.

I feel kind of bad that you trusted me enough to click on a link that was negatively creepily annoying so I’ll close this post. Sorry.
