I am was glad to see London get it. I pretty much ignored this years, so we shall see.

Nope I’m not waiting. I don’t have 4 years to sit around. More like 20 minutes ;D

Erm not really… everybody is going Olympic Mad already, and it’s getting on my nerves :)
Will be interesting to see what the come up with for the opening ceremony though… but if it’s anything like the hand over 8 minute bit, well…. it’s going to suck hehe

i liked the bus idea.

it was a shame we only had beckham to offer.

I’m more concerned with the possibility of an apocalyptic and cataclysmic event as foretold by the ancients. Plus traffic is going to be awful!

Yeah the bus idea was good, although it took about 5 minutes to get it into position :)

I just think it’s going to flop, and knowing our luck with completing buildings on time, the Olympic stadium will probably still be unfinished a week before it’s supposed to start… and yeah, traffic is going to be horrendous. Oh well… we’ll wait and see I suppose. Maybe they’ll suprise us?

I can’t wait for the next Olympics! This years was awesome! Go Michel Phelps (Or how ever you spell his name) 2012 is way to long of a wait to see if anyone can beet his medal count. Were are the next winter Olympics going to be help?

It’s the day that various ancient cultures, not least the Mayans, ended their calenders. Based on astronomy, they were able to cultivate working calenders thousands of years in to the future taking in to consideration the behaviour of the moon and the other planets in our solar system. They were quite brilliant actually. But they end on a specific date in 2012, and no one knows why. Hence the end of the world theory.

Eh, the Mayans were not the only peoples to predict the end of the world. But to them 2012 was a long way away. But yeah, you’ve got your history straight. It’s fascinating stuff.
