Success and MOney; It takes $$ to make $$- Im interested in your views on this.

I think I need to change my views in order to get out of this financial rut Im in. Ive been studying ‘Success’ for years but never applied it when it came to the ‘financial’ aspect, only in ‘Life’ aspects. I’ve always thought because I have so little and need every cent that It wasn’t possible to get out without some miracle. Now I see this thinking may be the root of my problem. Any comments are and will be greatly appreciated :D TIA

will there is certainly no harm in asking for miracles.
The US economy is going to go through a period of severe downturn.
This will affect a lot of people.
Eventually hopefully soon the people will understand the importance of sharing.
And soon as this happens we will be given some very great gifts.
One I should mention is “cold fusion”. This one gift will put
approximately $5,000 in every man, woman and childs pocket.
But we first need to demonstrate sharing and a proper concern and action
to fix the environment.
This requires that people not be so wasteful.

water is composed of oxygen and hydrogen.
A very small percentage of the hydrogen is called heavy hydrogen or deuterium.
This can be fused at room temperatures to create very large amounts of heat.
This heat can heat homes greenhouses and many industrial processes.
Eventually the heat can be used in cars using Stirling engines.
The cost of the energy from this source is about the energy equivalent
how about two cents per gallon of gasoline.

We do get ourselves in a rut. Things are pretty bad in the UK too. An old saying is you have to speculate to accumulate, but I never have any to speculate!

Our economies have always been trying to produce more of everything.
The Earth is finite. It cannot continue to produce more and more of everything
and have more and more people.
Eventually the population must become stable and preferably reduce.
When this happens then there will be a surplus of everything.
Things will become cheaper and cheaper.

It’s true you know, it seems the rich get richer and the poor poorer. I’m going to rethink this as well, they say the power of positive thought works…right now I am envisioning myself in a new car cuz my van went kaput! :)

it is this great unbalance between the very rich and the very poor which is
causing the greatest suffering in the world at the present time.
This must stop. It has gone on for far too long.
Less than 100 of the richest people in the world have enough money to solve
all of the outstanding problems in the world. What are they waiting for.
Why are they hanging onto these billions.

Greed, power..the usual. The majority of our world’s problems would be solved if money no longer existed.

I am reminded of a funny true story.
One of the richest men in the world Irene DuPont was riding a bike to work.
A reporter came up to him and said,” you are one of the richest people in the world
why are you riding a bike”
DuPont said,” to save money”
he was worth at that time about $17 billion

Mamabear I see with your new avatar you have yet reinvented yourself.

If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, he is conceited and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions and constant friction between men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain. But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. 1 Timothy 6:3-10

I work full time and do extra work on the side. The phrase relates to me as I make extra money I can buy the tools needed to make more money. Example I build a house with a hammer but the next house I build with air nailer’s purchased from the profits of the first house. Now I make more money with the new tools and purchase more tools to make more money. Hence the phrase “It takes money to make money” and that is how I see it. Hope this helps :-)

Work hard, do extra time. Don’t spend much. Spend only on necessary stuff. Try to sacrifice some of your expensive leisure or lifestyle. Invest your money saved to things that will visible bring more income to you. Do not get into the habit of spending the extra income, just keep on saving and investing on those that will make you earn more.

i think there is nothing wrong with being rich. in fact i believe we are all born to be rich in every sense. but i think the temptation arises when one begins to lust after money and begins to devote his life to making it

I guess you don’t know me. I’m extremely rich with family, friends, life etc… just not financially. And I was perfectly happy with this but I intend to leave my family with these riches and more, the more being-less struggle than I’ve had, money -to make things easier. i don’t want to be ‘rich’, just better off. Lust for it has never been and never will be in my heart, i wont allow it.

the stock markets of the world are nothing but legalized gambling houses.
They serve no useful purpose and absorb untold amounts of people’s money.
Money which many people assume will be their security blanket later on in life.
If and when the stock market crashes then their security blankets become wiped out.
These mutual funds are encouraging this. And there is absolutely no guarantee.
I would rather people put their money into helping others.
This would be a good investment.
In your future and in other people’s futures.

The saying “it takes money to make money” makes me think of tithing. You give in order to receive. When you give out of love to the place that nourishes you spiritually (not necessarily a church), you will also receive. It is the law of attraction. Like attracts like. When you give you receive.

I took a class called Keys to the Kingdom. I wish I had the book in front of me but it is in the garage of my house in Indiana. For the length of the course you were required to give 10% of your time, talents, and your treasure. To where ever you felt called to. I can tell you that money did come into my life during that time. Doors opened and my life did change.

What I am working on now, is feeling comfortable with money. That it is okay to have nice things. It does not make a person bad because they have nice things. The more that money flows into my life, it does not change who I am as a person.

yes I think selfishness and fame are part of the motivation .
But I do think that Bill Gates is an example of someone who is famous
and very rich and now has seen his way to give away most of his money.
I believe this actually adds to his fame. In a good way.
As far selfishness goes I can’t for the life of me understand
why anyone wants enough money for 1000 lifetimes. The selfishness
becomes insanity.

I confess, I try to tithe(church wise) on a regular basis but have been slacking off and will get back on track. I have been tithing all my life and yes, I have been blessed and grateful for it all but…Still its in very small ways. Now that I wrote that I question if maybe I gave, did bigger, more etc..I would reap bigger etc.. but I see that as self-serving and not well intended. Im willing but…. for instance; I think about volunteering at local place here where we feed the homeless but I cannot even afford the bus fare to get there and back.,,,,,,, I’m so happy for you and your family in that money came into your life, I know you and you deserve all the goodness there is. I would have a hard time getting comfortable with it too. But I can tell you ‘dont’ . Just enjoy it. The fact that you will not ALLow it to change who you are shows it will NOT happen. YOu have nothing to fear.

I see a lot of post about how the rich are supposed to give their hard earned money to solve others problems. Thats a bunch a bull. You think that Bill gates sat on his but and said that I will wait until god provides me with billions of dollars, heck no. He set a goal to have a product that every one in the world will use and as he achieved his goal he became rich and now you think that you deserve part of it or that he has to share it. That is whats known as great unbalance which was mentioned earlier. People that don’t have saying that they should share the money or somehow that they deserve it because they don’t have any. To them I say if you want anything in your life you need to set goals and make the necessary changes to yourself so that you can achieve them. Hope this helps :-)

Seems I struck a chord, and that’s ok. yes, i agree many think they deserve it, without any efforts on their parts but I for one don’t necessarily do or think that. Some would say I do , I know thats what they are thinking when I say ‘ I dont work’ .What I mean when I say that I mean I dont work outside the home. I work extremely hard , against many odds in my life with my family, and for myself so I can be the best for my family. to explain I have spent most of my life becoming the best person I could be,(still in progress) so I can be the best parent I can be and although I would not change it for the world it does not pay the bills. Thats the bottom line. it makes me somewhat bitter that a single parent, especially a mother does not get paid for doing the hardest job in the world, raising a human being, laying a good foundation etc.. etc………………. If you don’t know Im disabled and I thank God everyday for everything but again, it does not pay the bills. And it makes me bitter and angry when a parent has to work outside the home away from their kids because it is precious time etc.. that is so needed taken away from their kids. then the Ones that ‘want’ a career really Gets my blood boiling, for the same reason. this may seem like its off topic but I dont think so because of its great importance(s).
Also, I . for one too, will not accept any money or anything of much worth from anyone unless it’s from a source that has excess, where it will not take from someone else in any way. As for goals and changes, yes, thats what I just recently started to do. this post is proof of that. Im a big fan of Joyce Meyer and she says - If your not willing to do the work to get what others have then you have nothing to complain about. or something like that.lol
