You could try switching to more environmentally friendly power options. In the end, it works out cheaper and easier. Plus in some areas where I live, you are actually given money if you choose these environmentally friendly options as an incentive to become more environmentally friendly with power. So it works out even cheaper again. Maybe not where you live though. Either way, it could be an option, though maybe a drastic one, which will have a dramatic effect in the long term.
