you can have even one beer a night every night and be considered an alcoholic…but if you go some where, and you expect there will be alcohol there, and that’s a condition on you showing up or not, then you might wanna look for a group…

It’s not necessarily how much you drink, but how much you depend on it. If you NEED a beer every day, or every time you go out, etc.; then you may have a problem. There are such titles as being a “social drinker”, meaning you drink only in social situations, which can lead to drinking in excess, or becoming a “drunk”.

There is a graph online that shows the amount of drinks you can have (whether it be liquor or beer) based on your height and weight. There are several sites, just look up “Blood alcohol level chart”.

Yes I think a social drinker can take or leave alcohol.
An alcoholic cannot leave it alone. Must have alcohol.

Is it the amount that makes someone an alcoholic?
I mean I know you need some but I think an alcoholic is someone who spends most their time drinking and when they are not then they are thinking about it, drinking just enough for the body to rely on that amount to be able to funcion.
