Love help: My friend likes Satan because some bad things have happen to him and he blames god. - Help.com

My friend likes Satan because some bad things have happen to him and he blames god.

I’m not a huge fan of church, but I love god and I know he loves us. My friend however doesn’t understand this. How do I make him understand that his enthusiasm for Satan is bad?

Well I’d just tell him your opinions in a rational manner and if he doesnt except them… well… allow him his opposing viewpoint and respect him as an individual and as your friend.

I agree with Snar…don’t force him into believing something else, but try to let him know that woshipping Satan is bad.

I wonder why he’s mad at God. God doesn’t do sick stuff to people and get a kick out of it. Satan does that. God is love. I think he’s made at the wrong one.

Perhaps it doesn’t help that almost every time god acted, people died. Remember that I am not saying that the people who were punished didn’t deserve it but, if I never read the bible myself, I would think that god only brought pain.

God wants to save everyone! If you never read the Bible, you should. It says that God is love.

Well, naturally, it would assert that…

It also says that if you wear two different materials in the same piece of clothing, you have to sacrafice your best sheep or you’ll go to hell. XD Just an observation…;)

But seriously, no matter how much you disagree your friend is going to believe what he wants to…it’s not up to you or anyone else to decide…if you’d like you can voice your opinion and explain why you feel that way, but don’t expect him to just automatically adopt YOUR religious views…everyone has to find their own path. We can’t choose for others. =]

You should read the whole Bible. That way you could understand the material in context.

God doesn’t bring pain, sickness and hurt to people… people do.

We all have the right to choose… but the choices we make.. we also choose the consequences.

God is LOVE.

People can over interperate the Bible sometimes.

It is so easy to be bad… it takes work to be good… but the rewards are also greater in the end.
