So, how can i convince my parents to buy me a new guitar amp?

i’ve been using a old 15 watt bass amp for my guitars for the past 4 years, and a crappy lyon distortion pedal that killed batteries every 45 minutes.

i’ve been looking at voxtronic 15 watt amp, and i know its low wattage, but it semi-tube the way i see it. and theres also the line 6 spider 3 30 watt.
regardless i wouldnt want to spend over 200.

what do i tell my parents? i told my dad and he’s like ‘i will later’ and its been 2 months. and my mom got shocked at the 200 price. im like ‘thats how much an OKAY amp is.’
regardless, what do i do? i need a new amp pretty badly, i havent touched my guitar for a while, and i want a new amp.

Get a paper round and then try and convince your parents that you will pay them back or some of the money later. Bargain with them and if they see you want to pay something, it might change their mind.

Perhaps you could point out the fact that you need the amp to allow you to progress a potential career in the future. If you are allowed to practise now, when you leave school, you will be able to earn money from knowing how to play the guitar well..
