So, I want to hack MY OWN computer.

I want to clear everything off of it and re-install everything.
It’s crashing.
The BIGGEST problem of all is that I hardly know anything about computers, and how to install anything.
I’m quite pathetic. Yes.

I’m tired if it crashing and freezing when I open MS Paint.
I keep pressing the tower button when it freezes for over 15 minutes at a time.
I know I’m damaging my computer, but what the hell can I do? (Sorry for the language.)

My brother refuses to clear it because he thinks he’ll have to clear it over again in the next 5 months.
He set up a password for everything I do.
I can’t really do anything.

If I clear it I’ll be in deep sh*t, but either way, if I crash it, I’ll still be in deep sh*t.
God.

Can anyone help at all?
I want to try to make it run faster and get rid of all the crap on here.

*NOTE: I might no be able to download anything from a website because it asks for the “Administrator Password”.

It’s new… as in like bought.. last year I think?
My brother cleared it once before, because I crashed it so bad that even “System Restore” was no use.

I have a ton of pictures on here and a Sims game that doesn’t even save right…
How do I get rid of that?

uninstall the crap you don’t use. Use task manager to kill unnecessary processes.

*throws monitor at the wall*
I remembered when I installed the sims, I was on his account (he forgot to log out).
I can uninstall anything on here. It asks for the password.

1. he’s unfriendly
2. I make computers slow
3. He’s just like that ALL the time.
4. I annoy him about it when he promises to clear it and doesn’t (after a month has passed.)
5. He ‘doesn’t feel like’ clearing it and re-installing about 3-4 programs.
6. I’m the “little sister.”

*sigh*
I think maybe this post was helpless after all.

If your PC seems like its slowing down and having a hard time surfing the web or just doesn’t seem right. If you think that you have a virus or bug. You need to clean it out first to find out what’s causing the problems. Here’s a few programs that I use regularly and they take very little time and skill to run.
You should go to http://download.com and get these programs.
AD WARE AND SPY WARE REMOVERS:
AD-Aware: http://www.download.com/3120-20_4.htm…
Spybot search and destroy: http://www.download.com/Spybot-Search…
CCleaner: http://www.download.com/CCleaner/3000…
If you don’t have an Antivirus program you can use.
Avast: http://www.download.com/Avast-Home-Ed…
or AVG: http://www.download.com/AVG-Anti-Viru…
and for your firewall a good program is
Zone Alarm: http://www.download.com/ZoneAlarm-Fir…
Install these programs and run them regularly. This will keep your system clean and running properly. These programs are free and Download.com is a part of CNET (the site that your posting on right now). Hope this helps :-)

Clue, that’s getting to be spam. That is unhelpful, which you’d know if you read the replies.

Since I have AVG, and such, if I clicked on download, would it catch it, if it was spyware?
