computer help: My pc’s backup discs are lost. - Help.com

My pc’s backup discs are lost.

Im NOT computer literate. Im on a hp notebook with Vista home office basic? My startup wont work and startup repair wont either. I dont know how to begin to use Complete PC restore and my backup discs are LOST help. This is my first posting here

hello,
Try booting up in safe mode! If it boots up it is a hardware problem, if it doesn’t boot up then it is your hdd gone faulty!

Sounds like you need to take it back to the store where you got it and have them fix it. You need the disks to fix the boot problem. If you cant find them then your going to have to pay for them. Go to HP and order the restore disks for your make and model. You should get them in about a week. Hope this helps :-)

Get on someones pc and goto HP site , download a recovery disk and use it to restore your system . save any files first.
