friends help: I have a question. - Help.com

I have a question.

There is this guy that I find very attractive…I’ve posted about him on here before..he works at the coffee shop across from my apartment. I still haven’t really spoken to him other than ordering my coffee…but today I overheard him talking about this show he is going to tonight. Would it be creepy if I went with some friends? Is that too stalkerish??

Maybe not stalkerish, but indirect. Why don’t you just strike up a conversation with him at the coffee shop?

Yes, like “Too bad we can’t order coffee at the movies, because some of them put me to sleep! I hope I can find something interesting to see this weekend!” ;-)

If he knows you were standing in the area where he was talking, Id hazard a guess that if you show up, he may well guess you’d overheard. Be brave go to the coffee shop and strike up a conversation ;-)

Or you could say “Hey talented coffee preparer, you intrigue me…here’s my number”. Too bold?

Well the show is in the neighborhood, so it would be possible that i just happened to go on my own….
i dont know, i havent felt comfortable starting a conversation with him yet, im shy! but i think this could possibly strike up a conversation itself, us happening to be at the same bar and everything…i dont know i really dont want to freak him out though!

nah its fine, just act casual maybe try and catch his eye, but act like you havent seen him, see if he approaches you and if you both look at each other at the same time, smile and wave, maybe go over and talk to him later, aaand this will be ‘ammo’ if you will, to talk to him about the show next time you see him :) good luck

No its not but if you go with people and don’t tell them your reason to go you’ll be fine. Then you can bump in to him and say you know hey i know you. However have the intention to go have fun at this thing and pretend he’s not going
