no i don’t need one. i am the babysitter too! :-)
ooooo i am literally desperate, ill beggg :(:(
Im a babysitter too, oh hang on, is it called that when they are my kids? ;)
Ok, what about pet walking, newspaper boy/girl, what about washing cars?
There are plenty of jobs like that out there where you can earn abit of money.
I think to be honest this day and age you are not going to find anyone willing to leave their kids with a stranger and a young person at that, people feel safer getting friends or family to sit their kids if they have too..
Also your safety is at hand here too, I mean it is not a wise idea to be offering to go to strangers houses to look after kids, anything could happen.
I think if looking after kids is what you really want to do then you need to ask around people you know, get the word around through friends, be safe that way.
You can get your parents to ask their friends, and put up a sign some places, like some local little stores let people put business cards and little notices there. People are always looking for babysitters, I picked up extra cash that way all through high-school
Chances are slim that someone who happens to be in your area and who happens to be a parent of a young child and who happens to need a babysitter will just happen to see your ad here on help.com, which is international in scope.
Why not take an ad in the local newspaper, or post notices about your availability in local supermarkets? You could also make your availability known through craigslist, which is localized. You could also network through pediatrician’s offices or local nursery schools. Finally, some hospitals have courses that allow you to earn certification as a babysitter, and graduates of those programs are always in demand.
One caution: If anyone answers your ad or calls you (without being referred by someone you know WELL), you should NOT go on a first interview alone. Ask the potential employer whether it’s OK for you to bring your mom or dad along, or AT THE VERY LEAST, a sister, brother, or friend. Predators who see your ad might think it’s a good chance to lure a 15-year-old boy or girl to their houses alone. Any potential employer will be a parent, and will probably appreciate the fact that you are taking a sensible precaution by not going to a stranger’s house alone.
Good luck!

You might be surprised, I can’t think of any grocery store or privately owned convenience store around here that doesn’t have a little bulletin board that has at least a couple advertisements for babysitters … like the other people said though, it’s the sort of thing that finding people you already know somehow works best. Maybe your parents don’t know anyone who knows anyone with kids, but that’d be the absolute best first place to look.
just my ideas.
Cleaning, kitchen work, packing, running errands, gardening, newspaper delivery are some of the jobs available. These jobs will be posted in local newspapers and billboards. A better option is to work from home on your computer - write articles, sell on eBay, make a website, take surveys. In some cases, you may have to set up an account in your parents or guardians name, and ask them to pay you, after they get the money for your work. More details are available at http://kj9.info
