lol no its ok i did a bit of reading and it seems i was naive on the subject. read up on half open tcp etc etc and overall it seems microsoft did it to improve overall performance.

in my opinion, switch back to xp (i did). there are plenty of programs to get xp looking exactly like vista (if thats what you want)
