Please tell me why…

The world is falling into chaos and no one seems to care?
People are claiming Global Warming is a conspiracy to steal their pickup trucks?
Republicans are trying to remove the ban on oil drilling?
Millions of animals are dying every day and everyone pretends it’s not happening?
Schools and work buildings have to start so early?
Animals used for food are exempt from the Animal Welfare Act?
Rats and Mice are not considered animals?
Our lives our more important than other creatures’?
People assume every resource was put on earth to serve us?
The fur industry doesn’t have to label anything that has less than 120$ of fur in it?
The media only pays attention to stories with blood and gore?
Skinny is now considered to be the size of a toothpick?
The government is focusing on health care when polar bears are drowning?
The farming industry has to hide the facts from the public?
Etc…

I will come back in the morning to check up on your replies.

Simply put, all people and animals don’t change over night. An herbivore isn’t going to start eating meat the next day if you put both vegetation and meat in a room with it. We tend to stick with what we like, what we know, and what we want.

I hear people say that they HAVE to drive cars to get to work and such, you do not HAVE to drive there, you can walk or cycle, people often confuse “Want” with “Need”

Doing so is hurting the environment and making human beings more lazy than they were designed to be

So? lol

You were talking about greed…not being lazy…
what does that have to do with with being greed?

The world is falling into chaos and no one seems to care because you haven’t met everyone to make that assumption. They are plenty of people out there that care, you just have to actually DO something about it.

People are claiming Global Warming is a conspiracy to steal their pickup trucks because everyone needs to blame something on something. Global Warming is not 100% proven, so people are taking advantage of that.

Republicans are trying to remove the ban on oil drilling as well as some Democrats. And not all Republicans are for it. Generally yes, but not as a whole. We are dependent on oil and rather than find alternatives, we stick with what we know.

Millions of animals are dying every day and everyone pretends it’s not happening? Again everyone? Really? Every single person is in a constant state of bliss where no animal is suffering? Humans are dying to.

Schools and work buildings have to start so early because the early bird gets the worm. Humans are used to living by the timing of the sun. Get up at dawn go to sleep at sunset. Must be from all those years without electricity. Get a third shift job.

Animals used for food are exempt from the Animal Welfare Act? Because we have to eat? Is there a humane way to kill in the first place?

Rats and Mice are not considered animals? Most likely because we tend to be afraid of the harmful diseases they carry, rather than the 1% of good they accomplish in their lives. There are humane rodent traps.

Our lives our more important than other creatures because we see our selves as a superior race. In some ways sure, in other ways not so much. In one word we’re selfish.

People assume every resource was put on earth to serve us because it is. What people need to realize is that using those resources should be like their diet, everything in moderation.

The fur industry doesn’t have to label anything that has less than 120$ of fur in it? Talk to the fur industry.

The media only pays attention to stories with blood and gore because that’s what get the people watching. For every ten news stories, one is good. I agree with you there.

Skinny is now considered to be the size of a toothpick…from the fashion point of view. But we’re getting better as a whole. Women are supposed to have some fat to protect the baby. And yes, that is what women are built for.

The government is focusing on health care when polar bears are drowning? Polar bears are cool, I’ll give you that, and an important animal to keep alive. This may be my human selfishness, but I’d rather have cancer cured and medication for my infection, and a better chance to live longer.

The farming industry has to hide the facts from the public because they’ve been doing so since the farmers starting farming. It’s on a need to know basis, and people generally don’t WANT to know. If you really do, you can find the information out, you just can’t look on the labels. You have to do research.

In response to TriumphAlice…

—————-

I know I haven’t met everyone, and I can’t make assumptions… But let’s say most people I know or meet are like that.

Actually, I think Global Warming is pretty much 100% proven… maybe 98%…

I know, I was just using that as an example.

Humans are dying, and animals are dying too. We’ve worked for centuries on the human death… why not dedicate just a little time to the animals, as well?

Hush.

Certainly more humane than the way we’re doing it…

I meant in animal testing…

Ok, no. I’m sorry, but no. No no no no no. NO!

I will and I do.

Good.

The rest of the world is being revolutionized, I’m sure we women can adapt to share a little more of the load.

As I said before… a little time and research donated to help animals will pay off in the long run and sure won’t decrease how long you live.

I do research. And now I’m attempting to inform! I don’t think it’s working, but you tell me.

And people say that religion no longer affects the government, but let’s say an Athiest ran for president. Like me for instance. I’m an athiest. Do you really think ANYONE would vote for me? No. Of course not. She doesn’t believe in God!

the bit about global warming, i tend to agree with triumph there… all the proof so far had been nothing more than coincidental, meaning while it is true that the earth’s overall climate trends are experiencing a highly unusual occurrences during the past hundreds of years of human inhabitant, it might also be a natural eco-climate cycle

Maybe, but they’re pretty sure it’s us, from what I’ve heard from multiple sources. I guess they could all be wrong.

Global warming is scientifically defined as a theory, as in, not proven. There is no such thing as being 98% correct, as it is not. I’m sorry that the people surrounding you are uncaring bastards. I am a Christian. I am also voting for Obama. It’s not about WHAT you are, it’s about who you are. Some people don’t get it, because some people don’t care, but I like to think that people are inherently good.

I try to think that way, but I see too much killing and litter to believe it.
