I am a single mother who lives in Jacksonville, FL.

I have recently returned to my job after being on maternity leave. I was only working back a month when the location I was at close down. Mind you the company is Wendys franchised by Ramsey Development. Everyone that worked at that location was never told they were closing. The day they closed is the day we all found out. We were all told that we had 2 temporary locations to be put at. The one I she had people were a crew I have worked with a year. The location where they had the nerve to send me to was dirty, smaller area to work in, and when it was raining they had buckets to catch the water leaking on the inside where the customers sat down to eat at. Now we all know where there are leaks there is mold and it sure didnt smell so good in there. Anyways I had called the district manager at the corporate office and told him the problem. He had asked me wich location did I want to go to. Well, to put it short I still dont have a job to go to. I was told by the manager at the Wendys I chose to go to, that there was no room for me and she related a message from the district manager, that I was not to call his office anymore. They have lied on me to my case worker by telling them I just never showed up for work. Now one minute I am working for them that I just am waiting for a position at that one to open up, but they are now saying that I quit…..not true….. I am needing assistance with my rent and for some reason none of the numbers or public assistance is helping me. What can I do….if anyone has any information on what I can do please contact me….Thank You!
