A Day of Remembrance : 9/11

ok, well since I am a proud American, and I currently have a brother serving in Iraq, I think it is important that we take a moment to look back and remember what happened on September 11th, 2001. Putting all political opinions aside, its not the issue. This is all about remembering all those who lost their lives that day, all those who saved lives that day, and those who are currently serving. Just take a moment to think….

well, you do have a right to know whats going on. Make yourself aware. However, you are still a kid ( I’m only 19, so I’m not that far ahead of you) and there are some things I’d rather not know, so I’m sure they are just doing whats best for you. Just tell them that you’d like to be informed, because its is your family, and it affects you.

I don’t turn on the t.v for 9/11 anymore, I remember the poor souls that died in it. But I think the yearly thing of showing the clips of the planes going into the buildings has to be stopped. I got gooseflesh every time I saw it,the relatives of these people are trying to heal, I can only imagine the trauma this causes them every time its shown.

Yeh agree, our thoughts from the UK are totally with you all. Its a real shame that the easterners rebel against our capitalism in this way. Thoughts are with all on this day.

I watched the images all that day. It was shocking. Little did I know that it wouldn’t be over by long. I appreciate you supporting the American troops and your brother. i don’t agree with the way and the reasons the US went into Iraq, but I do agree that simply pulling out again will be a disaster.

By the way, I very much admire the first text on your avatar. Is it yours?
