I am having a recurring dream…

nightmare…
It is the most vivid dream I have ever had…
And I am a bad sleeper…
I often wake up with the duvet everywhere, and have extremely vivid dreams, but this one was ultra-vivid…and awful…
It keeps haunting me throughout the day, how do I rid myself of this demon?

Dreams are a reflection of whats going on during your waking life.
Its your mind’s way of processing stuff and sorting through the day while your consciousness has some time out.
Seems like the key here is to figure out whats going on in your life that requires such extreme processing.
Are you super stressed or worried about something? Play lots of scary video games or watch scary movies late at night? Whats your schedule like? Do you go to bed in good time? Do you drink lots of caffeine? Do you eat well and drink enough water? Do you smoke, do drugs etc? Do you exercise enough?

Only you will be able to figure out what it might be. Once you do, change it for a bit and see if it helps the dreams. If it does, keep it changed.

I’m having the same problem, yeah i smoke and play resident evil a lot but besides that i’m pretty much the same as you, not much coffee, eat and drink well.
go to bed fairly early (although like you sead, don’t sleep too well).
and like you i’ve no idea of what could be related to it, nothing i do when i’m awake seems to have any real relevance.

sorry i can’t help but i thought it might be somewhat conforting to know y’ain’t alone.

Hmm I see a connection and now I look back that was when the connection was probably established.
Well part of it
The horrible part has no connection at all
But the bit that was with it does
Hm I can’t really explain without saying my nightmare which I don’t really want to do

But the nightmare has gone now

I was asleep one night then I had the dream for this first time. I dreamt that I married one of my friend’s and I didn’t even like this girl at the time. I told her about it thinking nothing of it, thinking it was just a dream. So we talked about it and laughed about it. Then the next night I had the same dream, I thought maybe it was coincidence. I told her about it that day, she thought it was really weird too. So we just shrugged it off. The next night I had the exact same dream. At this point in time, I was considering it being from God. I asked her if she thought it was from God. She wasn’t sure at the time, nor was I. So I told her to pray about it. A few night’s past, every night having the same dream. Then I was in church and I asked God to show me that it was Him, and sure enough he showed me my dream. But I was still awake when I had the dream, so I guess it was more like a vision. Then I went home and called her and told her everything that had happened that night. She was in shock. We really didn’t know what to do cause we we’re so young at the time. I was 17 time, and she was 16. And I lived father away from her. So we just decided to wait it out and see what God had in planned. For 3 years I had this dream every single night till we were old enough to move out and see each other. So we met up and decided to date for a while and see where we would end up. 3 years later, we were married. Everything happened exactly like it did in the dream. I thank god everyday for giving me this dream.
