Is it naive to always see the best in people?

Many of my friends will say something like “I wouldn’t want to be associated with him” and I don’t understand because he is a nice and funny guy. Doesn’t everyone have some bad qualities that we overlook?

It just doesn’t make sense to me why you wouldn’t want to know someone if they are a nice, friendly person.

Maybe they’re fake?

It’s not naive, it’s just too simple…ppl are far too complex to just see the good things…I’m not saying that you should focus on seeing the bad things, but you should at least consider them…

I think all men and women are all good by nature. It’s what sorrounds them and their environment that sometimes makes them bad.

Your naive if you think people dont have a bad side. To try to always see the best in ppl will make you happier and a less bitter person.

Perhaps this person who wouldn’t talk to him has not got the response they was expecting from him in the past. Someone who thinks the world should bow before them, might think this if he didn’t drool over them in the past.

I think of all my own faults and suddenly everyone else doesn’t seem so bad.

It depends on what you mean by “bad”

It is about getting things into perspective. We have all done stupid things in our lives and they taint how they view us. I someone can see something good in me, then there must be good in others as well. Perhaps they don’t know it either and need to be shown.

No, most people won’t ammite it but it’s actually better this way. One of the main problems with the people of today is that they are too judgemental and look at something and automatically decide whether they like it or not. If more people got to know someone and looked at something the way they do, then they will understand them and other things better. So many things would be better if people payed more attention to what a person can do right other then what they can’t, atleast that’s what I believe.
